Durham is a beautiful city in County Durham in the North-East of England.
The Summer Academy 2003 course Lindisfarne to Bede was held there in August.
Places visited on the course included:
Bamburgh, Lindisfarne Priory, Chester-le-Street, Bede's World, Wearmouth, Hexham Abbey, Heavenfield, Escomb Saxon Church.
I also visited Langwathby and Weardale on my way to Durham; and various parts of Durham during the free time.
