Before breakfast I went into Durham to get this shot from an unusual viewpoint on the A690.
Then I and my friend Alison drove to see Binchester Fort. More pilae!
At last some full height pilae. The site is small and well laid-out for visitors. Excavation continues - top right.
More of the excavated ruins.
