Back to Durham: Aristocrats and Arrivistes Next SA 2000 Day by Day

On a dull overcast day I travelled via Kirby Stephen where I had a snack and on to Barnard Castle. Here I visited the ruins of the castle.

Brief Encounter cafe at Langwathby Station.

There are spectacular views of the river from the castle ramparts.
